Act I – Crime Thriller Begins:
The film opens like a gritty crime drama. Fugitive brothers Seth Gecko (George Clooney, in his breakout movie role) and Richard “Richie” Gecko (Quentin Tarantino) are on the run after a violent bank robbery and a deadly shootout. They’re heading for the Mexican border to meet a contact who will give them sanctuary.

The brothers are dangerous in very different ways — Seth is cold and professional, while Richie is erratic, paranoid, and sexually violent. Along their escape route, they take a family hostage: Jacob Fuller (Harvey Keitel), a former preacher who has lost his faith, and his two children — Kate (Juliette Lewis) and Scott (Ernest Liu). The Geckos force the Fullers to drive them across the border in their RV.
Act II – Welcome to the Titty Twister:
After successfully crossing into Mexico, the group stops at a biker bar in the desert called the Titty Twister, a loud, neon-lit strip club that operates “from dusk till dawn.” They’re told to wait there for Seth’s contact, Carlos, who will arrive in the morning.
What begins as a tense standoff between outlaws and bikers quickly spirals into something entirely unexpected.
Act III – And Then: VAMPIRES.
Suddenly, mid-movie, the tone shifts from crime thriller to full-blown supernatural horror. During an exotic dance by Santanico Pandemonium (Salma Hayek in her iconic role), the bar workers and dancers are revealed to be vampires. They brutally slaughter most of the patrons.
Only a few survivors remain: Seth, Kate, Jacob, Scott, and a couple of bar regulars (including Tom Savini as Sex Machine and Fred Williamson as Frost). They band together and arm themselves with makeshift vampire-killing weapons — holy water, wooden stakes, shotgun crosses.
Final Act – Fight Till Dawn:
One by one, the group is picked off. Jacob is bitten and turns, forcing his kids to kill him. Richie dies early in the onslaught and is reanimated as a vampire, which Seth kills himself. Scott dies fighting off his vampire-turned father.
Eventually, only Seth and Kate survive until dawn. When sunlight finally pours in, the vampires burn, and Carlos arrives — casually late, completely unaware of the carnage inside.
Seth, scarred but alive, pays Carlos and tells Kate to go her own way. As he drives off, the camera pulls back to reveal the Titty Twister is actually built on top of an ancient Aztec temple — a vampire lair centuries old.
